1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the website kaelnovus.com and the private publishing tools operated by Andre Dempsey, who records and releases music under the name Kael Novus. The project is based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and is operated by a single individual — there is no company, no employees, and no staff with access to the systems described below.

2. Scope of the service

The publishing pipeline connected to this domain is used exclusively to publish the artist's own content to the artist's own accounts on platforms where the artist is the registered account holder. It does not accept user sign-ups, does not onboard third parties, and does not publish content on behalf of anyone other than Kael Novus.

If you are visiting this site, the likely reasons are: you found the music, you are reviewing the project on behalf of a platform (e.g. TikTok, Meta), or you are here to complete the OAuth callback flow for the artist's own re-authorisation.

3. Data handled

The project handles the following categories of data:

  • Public artist content — audio, video, cover art, captions, and written text composed by the artist for release.
  • Platform account identifiers — the artist's own open_id (TikTok) and Instagram Business account ID, used to confirm tokens are bound to the correct account.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens — issued by TikTok and Meta to the artist, stored locally on the artist's own machine.
  • Scheduling metadata — post timestamps, platform targets, and delivery status, stored locally in the artist's project files.
  • Server logs on the host — when you visit kaelnovus.com, the static host (Cloudflare) may record standard access logs (IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp) for abuse prevention and caching. The artist does not operate custom server-side logging.

No personal information is collected about site visitors beyond what is standard for any static website served through a CDN. There is no account system, no sign-up form, and no tracking scripts on this site.

4. OAuth tokens and platform credentials

The artist re-authorises his own platform accounts periodically. During that flow, the platforms (TikTok, Meta) redirect back to https://kaelnovus.com/callback with a short-lived authorisation code in the URL. That code is read client-side in the browser so the artist can copy it into the local exchange script; it is not transmitted to this site's backend because this site has no backend.

Exchanged access and refresh tokens are stored exclusively in secrets.json on the artist's personal machine. Tokens are never uploaded to this website, never transmitted to a third-party server, and never shared with any other person.

5. Use of AI services

The caption-writing and scheduling steps of the pipeline use Anthropic's Claude API. The prompts sent to Claude describe the artist's own content — they do not include OAuth tokens, personal data of third parties, or private conversations. Anthropic's own privacy terms govern how they handle the API calls they receive from the pipeline.

6. Storage and retention

Everything operational — tokens, schedules, drafts, and logs — lives on the artist's local machine. Published posts live on the platforms themselves (TikTok, Instagram) under the artist's own accounts and are governed by those platforms' retention rules.

Tokens are rotated when they expire or when the artist triggers a re-auth. Old tokens are overwritten in secrets.json at that point.

7. Third-party sharing

No personal data is sold, rented, or otherwise shared. The only outbound data flows are:

  • To TikTok and Meta, to publish the artist's own content under the artist's own accounts.
  • To Anthropic (Claude API), to generate caption drafts from the artist's own prompts.
  • To Cloudflare, which serves this static site and may keep standard CDN access logs.

8. Cookies and analytics

This site does not set analytics cookies, does not embed third-party tracking pixels, and does not run behavioural analytics. The only JavaScript on the site is the small amount required to render the OAuth callback page and the footer year.

9. Children

The Kael Novus project is not directed at children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from children. Parents or guardians who believe a child has somehow interacted with the project's systems should contact the address below and we will delete anything that should not be there.

10. Your rights

Because the project does not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information, there is generally no personal data to access, export, or delete. If you believe the project holds data about you and would like it reviewed or removed, contact the address in section 12 and it will be handled promptly.

For content you have posted to the artist's own platform accounts (for example a comment on a TikTok), use the platform's own controls — that data is governed by the platform, not by this project.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will move. Material changes will be noted in the first transmission published after the update.
